Fall Maintenance Check Reminder

Autumn will be here before we know it!

With falling leaves, rain, and various weather conditions up ahead, make sure you keep up with small but important maintenance checks.

After the long hot summer we had, we often forget to check our air filter along with keeping up with the regular oil changes to keep your bike running right.

Most importantly check your tire treads.  A lot of riders fail to look in the right place for wear.  Dunlop tires have a small triangle on the sidewall; this is where the tread is measured.  Check from the center out.  Some riders only take a quick look at the edge of the tires, which still might look good.  Make sure you all ways check for nails, small rocks, or other objects that might be lodged in the tread too.

If your tires look worn…Replace them now!  Do not try to hold out for spring.  It is a small price to pay to ensure you have the proper traction for the changing weather conditions.  Falling leaves can be a slippery surface to ride on and having good tires will help you enjoy what time is left for this riding season.
